Been eating at Chipotle for 5 years, every week and it’s still my favorite food :).
On topic! I’d have to say any sort of sea food is just repulsive to me. I think the smell is partially from the mucus that fish secrete (correct me if I’m wrong.)
Generally, I love the style of German food, but for some reason I just cannot eat it. It looks delicious, but it really never is. I would love to visit the country, but I’ll feel like a wimp eating at American restaurants.
I don’t eat liver or oysters. Some people will assume that this is because I do not care for their flavors. While I do not care for the flavors, this is not the reason I do not eat them.
Renz, German food in Germany is wonderfully better than nearly all German food outside of Germany. To me, German restaurants in America seem use far more vinegar than I ever encountered in Germany. Also, while fat plays a prominent role in German food, most of it doesn’t seem greasy. And American wurst is the worst.
Get hold of some bison meat. There’s a lot less fat in it. To most people, that makes it not taste as good (the flavor is in the fat, after all), but you don’t end up with greaseburgers, and I quite like the taste. When barbecuing, it sounds like you may be using too much heat/flame. Sear it good right over the heat, but cook slower and you won’t get that hockey puck on the outside/raw on the inside problem.
