Okay, so it’s a clunky title. And, as I said, there will probably be spoilers, but with the following examples you’ve probably been living under a rock if you’ve never seen these movies.
So, anyway, when I’m watching a movie, sometimes something will happen or be said that makes me think of another movie. Generally, this occurs to humorous effect. Here are some of my examples:
Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
When the fellowship has made it to Rivendale and Elrond (Hugo Weaving) meets Frodo (Elijah Wood), I can’t help but think (as Agent Smith from The Matrix) Welcome to Rivendell, Mister Baggins .
The Matrix Reloaded
When they start talking about the Keymaker, I expected Sigourney Weaver to pop up as Dana Barrett from Ghostbusters. “I am the Gatekeeper. Are you the Keymaster?” type thing.
