That is due to the cookie setting in your browser. I allow cookies. Not the best thing in the world, but it makes life easier and so far no problems.
It never prompts me and I never delete it at home or at work. I only delete it when I am surfing the dope from somewhere else. I do not want to chance a Hal incident.

I guess that’s the part I didn’t understand. I think of thread-locking as more in the nature of a sanction for misbehavior or total-clusterfuck derailment (except when used to eliminate duplicate concurrent threads on the same news).
