I’m not a Brummie. I grew up in the north, and then spent a few years in Cambridge. My accent tends to be descibed as “posh”. I’m in Birmingham since that’s where the best research group is for what I’m doing.

My accent is decidedly non-Brummie. Its what would be described, properly as “standard English” with a few northern twists in it, just to keep you on your toes.
