There’s a Brittish Foods Shop in my new neigborhood (which is funny cause I’d have never guess there would be a market for such a place) that of course sells real, English Cadbury chocolate instead fakeHershey’s stuff. I finally got to try the controversial Yorkie bar too. The proprietor looks so Londonese, too (i.e., she’s Indian). The only bad thing is that the candy is all “import priced”. But it’s good to know that I can get the Nestle version of a Kit-Kat whenever I want.
…did I misspell “British”?
Yep, but at least you got your chocolate, which is the main thing. Yorkie isn’t worth all the fuss is it?
Did you get the Galaxy?
So, is the controversial “Yorkie” bar controversial because it has small yappy dog in it?
The OP already posted a link to the relevant thread. Somebody cracked that joke there too.
Do they have curly-wurly?
Or as my little sister says it: chewie-wewie?
Does the side of the export Yorkie bar say “Yorkie - it’s not for girls”?
I used to like leaving an ordinary milk chocolate (no nuts/raisins/biscuit/honeycomb etc) Yorkie out in the sun (still inside the wrapper) until it went completely soft and squashy, then chill it in the fridge - something happens to the chocolate when you do this and I LIKE IT!
If they have Green & Black’s Organic Dark Chocolate on offer in this shop, buy it, if they don’t have it, demand that they get you some.
Mangetout
They, of course, do not or I would have mentioned it. Half of my last trip to London was spent hunting down shops that carried these.
sigh Isn’t summer re-run season a bitch?
I found a place in Canada that sells ‘Selection Boxes’ at Christmas time! Yippie!!
I miss Irn-Bru though (the candy, not the drink)…I couldn’t possibly have one now with my dental work.
hey, cadbury’s ain’t real chocolate.
neither is Nestle.
Only Belgian chocolate is real chocolate!
