Sorry, something screwed up there.
**TY ROCKET… ** LOL… what a gas.
Diane… just forwarded the email that i had mistakenly sent to Myrr21… am on several boards, DC is the only one that has the emails and such at the bottom of the posts… instead of the top… so I hit HER email instead of yours…
As for my ‘c’ number… have told you that such things didnt exist when I entered the Air Force in 1975. Sorry, people, but what part of AREN’T GIVEN OUT ANYMORE AFTER 1970s– dont you understand???
Easy, there, kids. Let’s give her the benefit of the doubt for just a moment.
Rosie, the profile, web site, and email information for posters is found below each post, not immediately above it. You got Myrr’s email, not Diane’s.
Simple mistake to make–I’ve done it before myself.
Wish I could delete those multi-posts.
Just wanted to say that I’m about talked out on the Guatemala thing. Perhpas I’ll start a thread on this subject at a later time.
 Nice simulpost, andros.
Myrr21 posted right above Diane’s original post… she’s been here since Jul 2000, has 1407 posts. YOU CHECK THE SIDEBAR Sorry that you havent seen her before. I hit her email at the ‘top’ of Diane’s post, instead of the email at the BOTTOM of Diane’s posts… SHOOT ME … LOL
Damm you people are so much fun… can’t remember when I’ve laughed so much at such innane behaviour.
Wait a second. If unit coins were “obsolete after the late 70s/early 80s,” how did Crunchy get them serving in the early 90’s???
Just a thought. And I have a question for someone I trust who’s been in the military…(Geobabe?) How bloody likely is it that you’d be kicked out for going over weight requirements because of PMS? (Bad pun, I know.) I’m sorry…that just seems damn unbelievable to me.
Dear Kettle,
You’re black.
Love,
Pot
Not at all likely, Falc.
Discharge for going over weight (in the USAF at least) comes only after repeated warnings and regular weigh-ins. the only way you can get your ass dishonorabled for being overweight is by actively refusing to lose weight.
Hold up. So Rosie, you’re saying that Diane, who works with disabled veterans, is asking you for a piece of information that does not exist? BULLSHIT. I’m sorry. Diane ain’t dumb. If she’s asking for your C number, there’s a reason, and it exists. Even for people who entered after 1975, and even if it’s the same as yer social security number.
Oh, and you keep wondering why we’re harping on this? Because of a little thing called CREDIBILITY, hon. I already told you. Believe what you want. Hate everyone besides Americans if you want. But don’t lie about being a vet. It dishonors everyone who served, and makes you look like a jackass.
Falcon… what’s YOUR military record dear? If you had a clue, you’d know the answer to your own question because you’d know the limitations/requirements.
I gained weight during PMS every month… I was on the weight program. Even though I had a doctor’s excuse that the weight gain was TEMPORARY for a week, I was not allowed to change my ‘weigh-in’ dates. Because of my bad back (which the Air Force caused), I was unable to exercise down to 100 lbs (I was 5’7 at the time, am 5’6 now) to ‘absorb’ the extra weight gain. Article 31 of the UCMJ, requires that ALL personnel maintain a particular weight standard for their height, regardless of medical circumstances.
so now Falcon… shut up.
Andros… thank you. From one kettle to a pot… Hugz. smile
I STILL don’t see how PMS connects to a fight about safety regs with your commander or whatever.
Rosie-your record is about as real as Darva Conger’s record.
I smell a TROLL…
DOH… there are no SERIAL NUMBERS anymore… they are not even CALLED that… its your SSAN… SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER…period… end of story… get on with life.
**
Harping?.. I’ll ask again… WHAT IS YOUR MILITARY SERVICE RECORD??? Prove it! I don’t have any reason to lie. I wasn’t even going to say that I was a vet until several started questioning my motives for starting this thread… I started this thread because i WAS PISSED at what happened to the USS COLE…my military record should have NOTHING to do with the TOPIC OF THIS THREAD…
Did you question Clinton this much before you voted for him??.. make him prove that he served in the military before you voted to make him President… made him prove that he had a bloody clue what the military was all about before you elected him into the highest office of our Government… with CONTROL over the military??? Oops… guess you only exhaled also… my error. I forgive myself for your stupidity. LOL
Sorry Rosie. I trust andros a HELL of a lot more than you. So shut up and slink off to a corner somewhere, 'k? Thanks.
Oh, and my military service? I freely admit I have none. Because I wouldn’t be allowed in for medical reasons.
You are either lying or just really, REALLY stupid!
FYI - What part of a “C” NUMBER IS SHORT FOR “VA CLAIM NUMBER” ISSUED BY THE VA TO DISABLED VETERANS AND NOT YOUR MILITARY SERVICE NUMBER" are YOU not understanding?
Of course, any “disabled vet” would know what a “C” number is, right?
EXCUSE ME… if you were so BRIGHT… you’d know my so-called CLAIM NUMBER IS MY SSAN U DITWAD…there is NOTHING under any so-called C number… its under my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER…
I ask ANY OTHER PROVEN VETERAN on this board… is your "C"laim number NOT your SSAN???.. Diane… soak your head.
Forgive me… i was under the mistaken conception that when you said ‘c’ number you were talking about the OLD serial numbers like my father had when he was in the Navy… my CLAIM number on my disability is my SOCIAL SECURITY number which I sent to you in email to your correct email… which I had mistakenly sent to Myrr21 before… Sorry Myrr…
Was all anyone here needed to know. Why should I have to prove anything… the TOPIC OF THIS THREAD IS THE USS COLE… what part of THAT dont YOU understand?
Ok… I don’t believe that any of you are real people. Start posting your birth certificates to prove you didnt come from Mars, or URANUS, or some cabbage patch on your uncle’s farm!!!
GET A LIFE AND GET BACK ON THE THREAD YOU MORONS…
Have never had a better time in my life that conversing with such empty headed dweebs who were still a dream in the milkman’s eye when I was joining the military, as I have today… THANK YOU… LOL
Thanks, Falc.
Again, if someone is consistenly going over weight because of menstrual or premenstrual weight gain, she is either A) riding the very edge of her weight regs or B) ready for a medical honorable discharge. I suspect the former to be the case with Rosie.
I’ve known many women in the USAF, mostly NCO deskjockeys (no offense meant by that), who never got any official trouble maintaining weight. If they got too close or went over on a weigh-in, they simply worked out more and watched what they ate, just like men. they knew the regs going into the service.
If any of the women I had known had the kind of severe trouble with monthly weight gain that Rosie seems to be talking about, they would have gotten a medical. It ain’t healthy, in the service or out.
If, OTOH, a woman were right on her max weight all the time, and picked up a couple pounds every month in time for her weigh-ins, she deserves no sympathy and a less-than-honorable is completely warranted.
“Dammit, treat me like a real soldier! Let me kill people! But you’d better cut me a break every month!”
Oh, and there ARE still military service numbers, unless of course you think that all vets who served prior to Social Security Numbers being used are no longer veterans. They may have discontinued service numbers but they did not wipe those already issued to discharged veterans out of government records.
I just checked my e-mail. Nope, still nothing. Do you or do you not want me to verify your service and disability claims? If not, don’t waste my time. I’ll chalk you up to being a lying idiot and let you dig your own hole.
As promised, send me the information and if it shows you are telling the truth I will (without posting details) back up your claims. It’s up to you.
Falcon, serving or not serving is a personal choice in the all volunteer military we have today and you don’t owe this ding-bat any explanation. The only thing deplorable are those who attempt to ride on the coat-tails of others who truly deserve the honor.
Not to :::cough::: mention :::coughRosiecough::: any :::cough::: names.
