This is what gets you a warning these days?

The identity of the poster who got all the warnings, thread bans and suspension say I’m right.

But hey, it’s your posting privileges on the line, you do you. I’m sure another round of “your moderation was biased” Calvinball is really going to make the mods see the light this time…

By the way, since you’re so hung up on the rules, here’s a relatively new one you may have missed given your irregular visit frequency:

No I don’t you are getting the whole picture. The threads are not always about me getting a warning. And in many cases the mods agree that I should not have gotten a warning. But if you look at threads where I appeal a warning and conclude that I am the only one getting warnings, then you are incorrect.

The bigger reason I stopped posting threads on the racially discriminatory effect of trying to discriminate based on race was because they kept getting shut down because a handful of posters could effectively get a thread shut down by disrupting the thread. Now that is against the rules.

Other people’s warnings don’t signify.

Not the threads I looked at. Certainly not “many”.

Didn’t say that.

To be fair, you’re only looking at the public warnings and not the private ones!

I think if you asked the mods, they would say I’m not hung up on rules. I think they would say that’s sort of been the problem.

I personally think that the bigger problem is that my views are unpopular and have led to a bunch of thread closures due to what is in effect a heckler’s veto. This new rule seems to be a good mechanic to eliminate the heckler’s veto.

I don’t think that’s the intent, but it could potentially have that effect, yes.

Like Metamucil. Dropping turds regular as clockwork.

You realizer most of those posts are not about warnings i received, right?

I think 2 of those 6 threads are about warnings issue to me, one of those warnings were overturned an the other one garnered significant support (from people that disagreed with me on the substance of the underlying debate) that a warning should not have been issue.

The rest were me bitching about how the moderation has facilitate the transformation of this site from “one of the smartest places on the internet” to a far left echo chamber.

That’s close to right, but as always the devil’s in the details. Why is that such an issue for you?

Forget it, dude. You’re officially “not one of us”. Nothing you can say or do will change that.

Anyone can post here but nowadays, the SDMB is only to be enjoyed by “us”. You’ve been given enough rope, won’t you finally please hang yourself, like a proper “them”? It would make things a lot cozier and safe-spacier for “us”.

This is deeply, deeply silly, and also petulant beyond belief.

If you’d like to see a far-left echo chamber, go look up Crimethinc. Calling this a far-left echo chamber is like calling a bumblebee a Patriot missile.

Apparently there are two groups: Right Thinking Americans, and the Far Left.

I think you dropped your cross.

Right Thinking American’s, and the Far Left.

Fixed it for you.

It’s not. I like the new rule. This means I can have a debate about the discriminatory effects of racial preferences without someone someone turning it into a dumpster fire.

No, it’s Right Thinking’s Americans’, and the Far’s Left.

You bring the lighter fluid, matches, and newspaper, and then complain about the flames?

I didn’t start the fire.

It was always burnin’ since the world’s been turnin’.

@damuriajashi I just saw you self-edit in a P&E thread after a general mod note to stay on topic and just as one poster to another, well done. Regardless of political disagreements I might have with you, I commend you for that.

I even got a warning not long ago for participating in a thread drift in P&E after never having a warning in well over a decade, so it’s easy to run afoul of the rules there even when you’re trying not to.
