My apologies to anyone offended by the picture – I took a look and didn’t think it was particularly pornified or anything. Wouldn’t be anything I’d wear, anyway! 
I cuddled a baby possum this weekend. He was so damned cute! There were supposed to be sugar gliders too but they didn’t arrive 
Whittaker’s peanut slabs. Chocolate fish! L & P. I’m racking my brains here to think what the NZ shops sell. Pineapple chunks.
Chocolate fish – uh, are they Kiwi? Might be more international, I dunno. I’d like t’ think they were ours. Hmm. Same probably with pineapple/banana choc chunks (haven’t had any in an age. Yum.)
L&P, for th’ folks up there in th’ North, is a soft drink. Stands for “Lemon & Paeroa” (Paeroa bein’ the place, so they say, where they used water from springs to made the drink originally. S’all part an’ parcel of the Coca Cola consortium, now.)
And yup, I mentioned Whittakers, only they do more than peanut slabs these days, Primaflora.

IIRC, there’s also one of the little islands in NZ (I think on the outside of that inlet that almost bisects North Island) that has the only surviving members of a species of wallaby – one that was introduced there in the 19th Century and then became extinct in Australia. (This may be a UL, though – anybody know anything about it).
