This old commercial has given me a new phobia

And I’m not even exactly sure what I’m phobic of. I was looking at old animation on youtube and came across this monstrosity of an 80’s candy commercial.

Okay, I know the new phobia: Kinder eggs. Catch me ever eating one of them now.

Chocodooby!

::shudder::

Whoa. That was pretty disturbing. What’s that thing even supposed to be, a chocolate Humpty Dumpty?
I’m going to have nightmares…

Oh, man, I love Kinder Surprise! The toys inside the eggs are so spectacularly random and bizarre! Unfortunately, the US Guvmnt is protecting our Precious Children® from the small parts some of the toys contained, so they can no longer be imported for sale here. I bought a box of them on Ebay from some guy in Germany, and we have a shelf just for displaying our KinderToys.
But that was one creepy-assed commercial…

Yeah, pretty unsettling, huh?

I guess I’ve never seen a Kinder egg here in America at that. I was thinking I had, but I must have mistaken them for those cloyingly-sweet Cadbury eggs. I’m assuming this commercial was shown in the UK, because of the fractured English, and also because it looks like it was created by those Teletubbies folk. I also find Teletubbies vaguely disturbing, but Humpty boy here is the stuff of nightmares.
