I could tell they were models right away, but I can appreciate the hard work and time that went into this. I was actually impressed with the photography as much as I was with the models. It takes a good technique to capture a model like that and make it look realistic. It’s not like you can just point and shoot.
The second, fourth and seventh ones were the best IMHO.
The models appear to be pre-built ones from the Danbury Mint (or the Franklin Mint), although I believe he built the buildings himself. His achievement is really the taking of realistic and evocative pictures.
