While I’m reading this thread I’m listening to Simon & Garfunkle’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” CD, which includes the song “The Boxer”. Once my brother & a friend & I drove to DisneyWorld, and the video camera was running in the car while “The Boxer” was playing. We were all singing along, except that we were quacking like ducks instead of singing. Every time I watch that video I wonder why we were quacking. And finally, thanks to this thread, I know.*

Thanks. Actually the thread newsletter is just a link to this thread. All the news about this thread is in the thread. It’s much simpler to keep up with the activities of the thread right here.

There has been some backstage (offline) discussion that perhaps we need another thread with a title something like “This thread is not about this thread but about that other thread” which would point people to this thread. It might take up the slack as a newsletter if somebody will go ahead and create that thread with links to here.

We could get into a tight loop by having that other thread point to a post that points back at the post in the other thread.

I have been trying to figure out a way to build that other thread with the loop already there, but without the ability to edit one’s own posts, I haven’t been able to get around the problem.

Any ideas?
