I head just the opening of this week’s “This American Life” while I was in the car, and the start of the first segment. They involved a guy who could pronounce the Period Table symbols, and a guy who was getting therapy for his stuttering. What was the theme of this week’s show.
The website doesn’t offer any clues.

Are you sure it was this weeks show? The one I listened to Sunday morning (8/3) was “Act V,” a re-run from last summer.
If you click on “03” episodes you can see a list of all the shows produced in 2003. When you click on that you will see at the top of the page a link to a chronological “main archive.” This will list every show in order regardless of its original air date.
There is a show called “Later That Same Day” for July 25. Unfortunately I missed that show so I have no idea if this is the one you are looking for. It is not yet available online.
I’m a big TAL fan; please let me know which episode you are talking about, because it doesn’t sound familiar to me at all.
