Those... err... "special moments."

Does anyone else have the experience of your blood singing or ringing in your ears during… err… “those special moments?”

Any idea if it’s indicative of a disorder or dysfunction at all? Circulatory condition? Or just one of those inestimable differences among individuals?

“—Once. In 1960. For 20 minutes.” I could not resist. Still a serious question, though.

All I know is I want the phone number of the girl you were with.

As always, you should not seek medical advice on an online message board. But for what it’s worth ringing in the ears can be a sign of high blood pressure. See if you can convince your partner to dress up in a sexy nurse’s costume and take your blood pressure during sex.

Do you mean when you have an erection, when you actually come, or something else? Be specific, man!

I agree with Little Nemo. Go to the doc, tell them what’s going on, and at the very least have the doc check your blood pressure.

When you go to the doc, be sure to talk to him about the possibility of having a restriction in a blood vessel in your neck. My doc says that’s one thing which can cause you to hear ringing or heartbeat in your ears.

Thanks for your concern; however, I’m a girl. And actually, my blood pressure tends to be a little low. Perhaps my vein walls are unused to the increased blood pressure of, er, you know.

NinetyWt: Now, that’s something I hadn’t thought of. But it is the kind of thing I had in mind. Well, plus I just wanted to know if other people had this happen.

Heh, Rule 34!

My ears whistle a bit sometimes and it’s because of wax buildup. There must be a way for you to romantically work this into the pillow talk during a “special moment”!

I sometimes hear my pulse pounding . . . during and immediately after orgasm. Never anything that I’d describe as “singing” though.

Sorry about that. I was thinking you had recently posted that you were a man despite having a feminine sounded username. I must have been thinking of somebody else.

Brewha, maybe?

What it sounds like actually is a very hydraulic kind of sound – like you might hear in a pump room. A rhythmic, well, whoosh, but I mean the word in the original sense.

“Blood singing in your ears” is an expression that may have become old-fashioned. It is associated with … you know, I’m not really sure. Usually it’s used in literature at a point where the narrator has come to some kind of epiphany or crisis. So it seemed like the right expression to use.

I googled the term and got this thread. :dubious:
