Everyone has seen a store or deli that has a dollar bill in a frame on the wall. I always assumed it was the very first dollar they took in the day they opened. Is this basically it, or can it mean something else?
That’s pretty much it, as far as I know. It is usually accompanied by the obligatory “…and the bastard tried to cash a fifty” anecdote.
I have one. The Chamber of Commerce gave it as part of the ribbon cutting ceremony. Mine has nothing to do with the first dollar I made. It was just a welcoming gift to the Chamber of Commerce.
