I happened to be looking oin and old copyof “LIFE” magazine…and saw an ad from the Canadian Club whikey brad. They ran these ads in the 1950-60’s era, and told of a hidden case of whiskey near a certain place. These were usually exotic locales, like Hawaii, Tahiti, Monaco, etc.
Did anybody ever find these buried cases of whiskey? Or was it just advertising hype?

The only place I recall seeing these ads were in old playboys.
I thought it would be cool to find the booze but then I’d have to explain where I got the clues.
