Thought I would touch base and say hello

Why, hello stranger. I trust you and your monocle are well? Nice to [del]see you again[/del] [del]hear your voice[/del] read your type.

No need to be anything but what you are - we’re just glad you have returned. (wait… that makes it sound like I don’t think you are scintillating. Never mind.)

Scintillating was being lucky enough to join Eve and a handful of other Dopers for lunch at the Algonquin, followed by a traipse through the newly refurbed MOMA.

THAT was a very very special day for me. You’ve been missed. Your wit and articulation are to this day much respected.

Coincidence that you return on the 30th Anniversary of the debut of Music Television? I think not !!!

Tacky as this normally is online, fair to say I send you a  and a smile. Please be more of a presence again.

Cartooniverse

Wonderful to hear from you, Eve! You’ve been missed.

I too thought this was probably a zombie thread, and I’m glad to see I was wrong. Glad to see you Eve, and I hope things are going well for you, well enough to stop by now and again when you have a free moment. It’s nice to see so many of the long-time posters in a single thread, and very few people could get such a unanimously warm welcome from this cantankerous bunch.

Enjoy,
Steven

Good to hear from you.

Charlie Chaplin pwns Buster Keaton.

Great to hear from you again, and don’t be a stranger.

Eve!!
{smooch!}

:)

Nice to hear from you!

Oh good Lord! It’s Eve!

Absolutely MARVELOUS to see you, dahling!

Don’t be a stranger!

“If you can paint, I can walk!”

Naturally, this happens just after I had discarded my list of questions about silent film stars. Give me time, I’m sure I’ll think of something.

She’s ALIVE!!!111!!!

YAY!

Oh, allow me.

Is it true what they say about William K. Everson ?

Eve, I don’t think I actually conversed with you, either, but reading your posts always brought joy to my day. Glad you popped in!

It’s true what they say about Dixie, but what have they been saying about Bill? (I think I will go wet my tootsies in Cafe Society while I am here . . .)

Seconded.

I feel like eitherthis German Shepardor this Louis Armstrong(as opposed to the other Louis Armstrongs in that scene).

I seem to recall that **Eve **uses a lorgnette.

Nice to see ya 'round these parts again, Eve!

Howdy!

Eve! 'bout time you peered down your lorgnette at all of us again. Welcome back!
