Thoughts on Super Greens Powder

Is anyone here a user of Super Greens Powder.

It’s basically a whole bunch of vegetables smashed into power form.

Plus these vegetables have exotic names like Spirulina, Alfalfa (Reminds me of Alf lol), etc

I’ve been reading up on this alkalizing stuff and it seems pretty legit.

Any thoughts or just another drama that is being forced upon us by the FDA?

First of all, it’s hella expensive and tastes like shit. There are cheaper, better-tasting actual foods that accomplish the same thing.

There’s no such thing as a “superfood”. And the body is quite capable of maintaining it’s Ph balance by itself.
in fact, it’s near impossible to throw it out of whack for very long.

I get all my nutritional advice from weebly.com, particularly the news that alfalfa is exotic.

OK, where have you been reading up on this? Random unattributed health food blogs like the one you linked to, or actual refereed articles from respected journals of medicine and nutrition?

Anybody can come up with theories about your health and the associated pseudo scientific babble, but unless they’ve run the experiments and have the data, it’s about as convincing as claiming that ginseng is an aphrodisiac because its roots look like a little dude.

All I know is that in my youth I watched a lot of “Our Gang” TV shows, which contain large amounts of Alfalfa and Buckwheat. I am still alive today. Just sayin’.

The guinea pigs always liked an alfalfa block.

SUPER GREENS IS MADE OF PEOPLE!!!

Damn dirty cows.

My wife sent me to the health food store to get a huge canister of this stuff last year when she was on a Nutribullet/smoothie kick. It was like $40. She’s used it twice. It just sits in the pantry like a jar of dried baby turds that cost me a nice steak dinner. Having said that, I have derived hours of viewing pleasure from the Nutribullet infomercials so on balance I suppose I’m ahead.

LOLOL That’s the only thing that is stopping me from trying is the freaking price! They are all so expensive. I wish I can go back to juicing but just don’t have the time or patience these days but it’s so darn time consuming.

 Do tell, do tell.

Give it time. It’s jaw-droppingly, wonderfully terrible.

What does the FDA have to do with any of this?

Thanks for the link. I lasted two minutes; only 23+ yet to go.

I had high hopes of buxom young things enthusiastically endorsing the product. And with a name like nutribullet I could imagine some interesting uses. Not so, at least not at first. Color me disappointed. :frowning:
