I often watch The Today Show between 7:00 and 8:30 in the morning. My Tivo starts recording it at 7:00, and I start watching around 7:30, that way I can skip past all the useless parts, and there are a lot. I’d say 80% useless, 20% good.
Does it seem to anyone else that Merideth Viera is not well liked by Matt, Al, and Ann? Did someone tell her this was a debate show like The View? She’s always making verbal jabs at the others, I can see why wouldn’t like her. At least Katie was cheerful.
Also, who designed that orange line graphic that goes along the bottom of the screen? I suck at art and I could design something better than that. For those with HDTV, the show is in HD now and looks pretty darn good. Mostly only the studio parts are HD though, for the remote stuff it’s a normal picture with “TODAY” down the left and right sides of the screen.
And finally I wish they’d cut out the stupid screeching/crashing sound between news stories, and I wish they’d quit playing 2 second clips of different songs during the pre-recorded segments. And I wish they’d quit having the hosts try to talk over whatever the song of the day is when they come back from commercial.
I’m done complaining now.
