Why is this thread, from 12 July 2000, thread #1?
Keep in mind that we didn’t start out with vB from scratch, we imported quite a bit of material from our previous board system, that in itself probably would have skewed any count to begin with.
As to why “post #1” in July, one of the tech guys probably reset the counter.

… and Thread #2 is from March '99 (and features a post from Cecil!). 
I’ve seen this thread before, but there used to be some posts above that, something to the effect of “So this is the new message board… Cool.” In July, zebbmx bumped the thread, and Arnold, not noticing its historic status, closed it. Now, that first post seems to have disappeared, making it even more confusing than it was before.
Techies, any idea? Posts dissapearing without deleting threads?
