I think so, too, since he has been given notes for trolling, in a moderator’s judgment.
I was an early participant in that thread. I sent Jonathan Chance a PM asking the same thing- there was a decent discussion, civil and to a point, developing. I thought it should have stayed open. But I never received a reply to my PM, so I’m here to agree it should have stayed open.
It’s not like we haven’t had about 34 million threads with ignominious starts that end well.
I wasn’t aware of OP’s history. On it’s face, the thread didn’t seem unusual.
