I agree. This is very serious and something I am sure Trump will milk for all it is worth. I also think this increases the threat to Biden as some lunatic out there will feel payback is in order.
I don’t think Trump will accuse Biden by name. I think he’ll go for a generic “they tried to kill me” and leave it to his supporters to figure out who “they” are. And leave his opponents trying to disprove such a nebulous accusation.
Personally I’m under the impression that assignment to Trump’s detail is a punishment and the Secret Service hates him. I didn’t see any agents diving in front of those bullets nor did they try to lower his arm when he was waving it around to give any potential second shooters a point of aim.
Watching the video, they were covering him in place, because there was still an active shooter. The moment that they said “shooter is down,” the Secret Service immediately got him off the stage and into the SUV.
If the shooter turns out to be an illegal immigrant, that will be bad news for Biden, sadly.
The far better comparison is Teddy Roosevelt’s surviving a bullet aimed at his heart in 1912. He the got more votes than the incumbent President.
And don’t nitpick that he didn’t win. There won’t be four people running in 2024 and nobody is around to split the Republican vote.

A bullet nicking his ear would not be deafening. A gun fired nearby is deafening; not so much a bullet whizzing by.

There’s supposed footage of the SS sniper taking out the shooter. All you can see is him trained on something and then firing. He was trained on something well before firing.
I strongly suspect that he was sitting there thinking “Who the fuck is that guy? Is he with us? oh…SHIT.”

All I’m saying is he needs to do a 90-minute in-depth policy interview with the New York Times editorial board and several open press conferences to prove that he shouldn’t drop out because of his obvious mental decline. 
And if, as he claims on Twooth Social, that the bullet is lodged in his ear, that’s potentially a lot more serious than “whizzing by”.

Perhaps but on the other hand perhaps this will motivate him to quit. His life is under constant threat even with a solid bubble of protection around him. He has no freedom of movement. Everywhere he goes there could be somebody on a rooftop with an AR-15. Forever. That makes a compelling case for him to drop out and let the other guy deal with those worries instead.
I can also foresee Trump having a stress-induced heart attack or stroke. I bet it has been a long time since Trump has had a big dump of adrenaline into his system. Can’t be good for him. And we know Trump has no idea how to process trauma nor does he know how to ask for help.

Yall…good lord…being a dictator is a full-time job. And you need the full backing of an army with little to no opposition. You don’t just take the oath, and suddenly the army is going to do anything you want. And even if he did raise his own Praetorial guard in the wake of the SS (Irony there) failing to protect him, he still has to deal with all the states that would oppose his “dicatorship” Who DO have their own armies.

Trump will increase his security with his own money if he has to. He wont drop out. He wont lessen his appearances. He will beat Biden handily. (Or Kamala) He wont become a dictator. He wont cancel the election or nullify the two term amendment And in 2028 it will be Newsom vs Somebody.
