Is there a VBulletin function to ignore entire threads?
Some have gross titles that turn my stomach (the oral sex period thread for example) or threads that suck me in that I shouldn’t keep posting to!
Just curious!
There isn’t any way to do this with vanilla vBulletin, but there’s a mod called Comprehensive Ignore System that let’s you do exactly what you describe: in the Thread Tools menu (upper right when you’re looking at a thread), there’s an option called Ignore Thread. Poof, it’s gone! You can also ignore entire forums, or ignore posters so completely that threads they start don’t even show up for you. It’s pretty cool.
Any thoughts from TPTB?
It’s not available in the current version of vB on this board. And for the most part Jerry does not allow hacks to the system.

There was a Firefox addon that allowed this sort of thing, but the creator decided not to update it for Firefox 4 and beyond.
I guess if you don’t mind running Firefox 3 just for this site, you could use it, though. I’d suggest running Firefox 3 as follows: change all shortcut to end with “firefox.exe -no-remote -profile Firefox3”, so it won’t mess up the later Firefox’s settings. (If you need adblock for security reasons, be sure to install it anew.)
And, no, the fact that the first link is to mac.softpedia.com does not mean the addon is Mac only. That’s just the first URL I found, as it’s no longer on addons.mozilla.org.
Can you ignore the entire site also?
