There’s a lot of insecurity around here lately. People don’t feel they’re getting any attention and their contributions are going unnoticed. This thread is designed for those people who feel ignored by the rest of the board. Post in here and I will try to respond to all of you. All you old timers will be ignored.
What’s considered an old timer? You going by post count or registration date?

As a very infrequent poster I am not sure if I should expect anything from the regs and old timers, but I guess everyone needs to feel loved…snif.

b]BratMan** - I have no hard and fast rule as to what constitutes an Old Timer. Just keep in mind the purpose of the thread - to respond to people who feel they never get a response. I don’t think you have anything to worry about.
Mr. Cynical - Suddenly I feel I should be playing some hip-hop. Or rap. Unfortunatley I don’t have any. I can try to find some records for you to scratch up if you want.

I’ve decided to take on a more positive attitude about my habit of slaughtering helpless and otherwise interesting threads.

struuter - I like your attitude. What’s wrong will killing a few thread. Some of them deserve to die. Some have gone on waaaaay too long. Maybe we should all go out with ice picks later and take care of some of those threads.

I either kill threads or my posts are utterly ignored. I know I don’t come close to the wit and wisdom of the dear departed Wally 
or the Chief, but come on, I’m not THAT bad, am I?
Of course, that “screw 'em” thing has my hopes up now 
I really appreciate it. I feel validated. No oxygen wasted here today.
And I think perhaps, as a precaution, those of us who have this unique and untimely talent should be more forthright with it. Maybe from now on I will just simply announce, “It’s me, struuter. I have come to kill this thread.” (another vague allusion to Seseme Street)

sandyr - No, your not that bad. If you look around you can see even the most witty posters being ignored. Heck I myself am regularly ignored. And I’m brilliant.

I think that I have killed on the order of 12-15 threads. I never know if it is because what I say is undebateable or if people find my posts to be vacuous. I think that it is a combination of both. However, the more I try to actually contribute, the better the response I get.

You’re gonna have to remind me. I swear I’ve seen just about every Sesame Street episode there is. Nothing current, unfortunately, as my kids think it’s too ‘young’ for them. Brats.
But please do remind me…it’ll drive me nuts if you don’t. Some of my most favourite laughs have come from SS. Captain Vegatable, M-na M-na…heavens is this dating me. Old chick who thinks SS is still funny. Well, at least I’m easily amused.
I still mourn the day I found out life outside Sesame doesn’t have Grovers, Snuffies, Hairys and those goofy aliens–BBBBRRRRRRR—ING!

adam yax - Only 12 - 15 threads?? Think about it. Your post count is over 600. That means only about two percent of your posts have resulted in the death of a thread. Factor in the posts where you are undebatable and you’re looking pretty good. I’m impressed.
jesuslynch - Good idea. Be careful not to say that out loud at the bar. You could find yourself in a world of hurt.
