 Help! 8 minutes ago, I was sleeping. 7 minutes ago, I nearly pissed myself. rumbleroar I could have sworn a plane was about to crash right by my house. I felt the vibrations from a very close and very loud rumble. The vibrations felt like a minor earthqauke… the rumble like a B52 just did a fly-by withthin 2 feet of my window… Double:eek: I’m usually not scared but I just saw LOTS of lightning out my window… but that rumble, it was just so, unrealistic. It lasted a good 10 seconds too. Oh great, now I’m getting goosebumps.
The strangest part is, seems nobody else around here woke up. Am I going crazy?
finishes his iced cappucino and heads back to bed. quickly looks under the bed and in the closet
You can’t rule out tummyaches for the monsters hiding there
Pepsi
Now I figure that it was just tunder… None of my windows were open but that was really really scared. I sometimes watch lightning for the hell of it. It has an erie beauty. Last night was just scary though.
I love thunderstorms… Two of my favorite memories are:
Watching a thunderstorm with my dad on our balcony in Heidelberg, Germany (circa 1986 - we lived there for six years) while drinking delicious Heidelberger Schlossquell Bier and eating saltines with smoked oysters and Tabasco.
El Hubbo and I watching a thunderstorm roll from west to east out our living room window with the Minneapolis skyline in the background. Classical music in the background, snuggling…
OMG i had a similar problem not too long ago and I have never been so terrified.
I was sleeping (soundly) and b/f was watching the boob tube when i was awakened by the LOUDEST bang and rumble I have ever heard in my life! I jumped up like a scared cat and grabbed my boyfriends arm and screamed. He tells me to calm down, “its just thunder!”
Want to know what I thought it was?
a nuclear bomb. and being that i was half asleep, I thought my face was melting.
It was THE most scary feeling. My first thought was, “they got us”
It was awful.
