It’s about 5:30a.m. here and the skies are rumbling.
Me? I like it. It’s either comforting or exciting, depending upon my mood. But I know people who cower when they hear sky noise, so I wonder what the consensus is here?

I only looked to see what “thuder” was. I like “thuder” too. And “lightnig”.
I love thuder and lightig.
I always try to stay awake to watch, but end up sleeping really soundly.
Allrigt yu clons, I fixd th thred titl.
Thunder, yes, please.
Big booming thunder that sounds as if your house is cracking, thunder that rumbles lowly and in the distance, thunder that mumbles under it’s breath, thunder that starts then changes it’s mind, thunder that shakes the earth.
Thunder, good.
Far off thuder: cool.
In your face, crashing down all around you lightnig: bad.
Mother Nature’s wrath leaves me truly humbled.
I adore thunder, the louder the better. I like it when it rattles the windows and sends the cats scurrying for hiding places (sorry guys). Unfortunately, living in Phoenix, we don’t get thunder
Yes it is rumbling now, hopefully with the humidity at 91 % and the thermometer at 78deg F this morning we’ll get some relief -
As in RAIN RAIN Rain it on me rain it on me rain it on me
I dont particully like thunder, usually because I’m trying to record some music, and it throws off my concentration.
Love it. The region I grew up in only gets lightning about once per decade, which is strange because it gets a lot of rain.
We get lightning often in Montreal, and sometimes I watch it from a window, or even go out in the rain to watch it
Personally, I love it, though my in-laws are all freaked out by it.
I’m also fond of a good Wagnerian thunderstorm, though my fondness drops precipitously when it’s accompanied by a power failure.

Thunder and lightning, not at all frightening. Deep rumbles, and bone-shaking cracks of the sky ripping apart right overhead, split moments after the sky turns into horizon-to-horizon camera flash. Ideally, it’s a storm when you’re sitting out on a porch nestled on the leeward side of the house.
Abso-freakin’-lutely! The only problem I have with a good T-storm is the fact that we just don’t get many out here in the SF Bay Area. Usually one or two per year, and that’s about it.
I’ve always lived in the Midwest, where we get lovely thunderstorms (this past April in the Twin Cities, we got some thundersnow). I love it when the thunder is so close and powerful it makes the windowpanes rattle.
There’s nothing like watching/listening to a summer thunderstorm roll in and out, especially at night.
I LOVE thuder storms. Especially at night. When I was vacationing off the N. Caralina coast there was a wonderful storm out on the ocean. It was SO cool. I stayed on the beach right up until it was dangerous to be there.
I used to be horribly afraid of storms as a kid. It started when I got stranded at a friend’s house during a really big storm and her dad kept scaring us with a train whistle (tornadoes sound like trains).
WV gets really wussy thunderstorms so I don’t really notice them that much.
It seems like we’ve been having a thunderstorm each night lately. This AM I woke up to some of the strangest thunder - it was almost like a gunshot, really sharp (not rumbling) and really loud. Then the power went out. I don’t mind thunder, but I hate lightning.
