I’m trying to collect all the James Thurber drawings I can find to incorporate into the new house. Mom wants me to do a collage in the rec room of his sketches. Anyone know a great source? I don’t need written works (because I easily get distracted by them), just drawings. I would appreciate any help on this matter. Thanks in advance.
I did a search on alta vista - you can specify “images” on av - and turned up a few:
Ping Pong
Burgundy
Little girl
You could also head to the library with a pocketful of change for the copier and look at Thurber books there.
Or, there’s a great site called Alibris that sells used books. When I looked, there were 11 pages for James Thurber, ranging from James Thurber 92 Stories with illustrations to the Art of James Thurber by Richard Tobias. (You might want to look here before going to the library.)
It sounds like a fun project - good luck!
Thanks, aseymayo. The library will probably be my best bet. I’ll post some pics of the result when it’s finished, but that won’t be for a long while.
