Tim Conway suffering from dementia

What’s a Tim Conway?

Oh, about 120 pounds.

I figured it was something like this when he wasn’t on the recent Carol Burnett reunion show. Carol made some excuse about him not feeling well.

The Aristocrats!

Except for Dick van Dyke, who you inexplicably overlooked.

I think the “Bunny Lawyer” must have fallen victim to a take-down notice. But I recently discovered the “Dog’s Life” sketch, which in many ways is every bit as good, and maybe even better.

The bit I remember was when he was playing his Little Ol’ Man character in the hospital or something. He’s stumbling around and winds up by the window which, of course, he flips out of. After a second there’s a branch-snapping crash then a good three seconds after that, “I’m fa-a-a-ling!” I would use that when I was slow on the uptake of something.

One of Conway’s funniest moments.

I’m so sorry to hear this.

I’m sure Mrs. Wiggums is upset.

I remember him more recently on 30 Rock. Couldn’t find a clip, and that was already 10 years ago or so. He played a retired employee and had real perverted stories about what used to happen behind the scenes.

It was 10 years ago and here it is.

Carol Burnett had a special some months ago, which reunited some of the surviving cast. She did make a passing comment that Conway couldn’t attend because he was ‘under the weather’ or something like that.

My parents actually knew Tim Conway. I wish I knew how.

Thanks.

He won an Emmy for that role.

As an aside, Ernie Anderson not only announced for the Carol Burnett Show, but moved on to be the prime-time announcer for the entire ABC network. You’ll remember him as the “On the next LUUUUUVE BOAT!” guy, one of the most famous TV announcers of all time. Here’s a sample

On the plus side Ukulele Ike, Ghoulardi’s departure left a void that would eventually be filled by the greatest Parma-based horror movie host ever, The Ghoul. Ah, my childhood memories of good old channel 61. BTW Ernie Anderson gave Ron Sweed permission to use a variation of “Ghoulardi” for his character name.

Sure, Big Chuck and Houlihan ruled Friday nights, but Saturday belonged to The Ghoul. Come for the expensive sets and high-tech special effects, but stay for the exploding model cars.
