The waiting is the hardest part…
My 10-day waiting perion on my new handgun purchase is over in about 50 minutes. At 12:40pm, I can walk up to the counter at the sporting goods store down the street and pick up my new Springfield 1911. I’m not a crazy nut, nor am I plotting revenge on some soul, i just want my new gadget to play with!!
That’s assuming you’ve passed the checks 
Now comes the joy of after-market goodies: holsters, sights, playing around to see what it likes to eat…all that stuff.

The clerk laughed at me 'cause I picked it up right at 12:40. Now I’ll be spending a few hours installing the goodies I’ve already got for it. Hogue grips and a commander-style hammer for starters.
