Time for a new Finish the Science Fiction Story?

Do we hav a continuity error with the description of the daestral? I think I originally described it as decidedly non human. If so, let’s go with Baker’s description. It fits the storyline better.

I searched for a physical description of the Daestral and if I missed it I’m sorry NoClueBoy I *hate * making continuity errors like that!

I’m glad to see you back in the story, and especially handling that program! When I went back to reread everything, after Lute got the story going again, I wasn’t sure what to do with that and had kind of ignored it, hoping you would be along to flesh it out. And so you have!

Again, my apologies for my error, and thanks for going along with it.

“Ziggy” is one of Sulat’s watchers, the bartender from earlier in the story. He knows his friend is still around somewhere but not the exact whereabouts so he used a remote transmitter.

Well, I had intended for Ziggy to convey that Col. Stang is looking for a TALON-created organic cloaking device but “package arrival immenent” works too.

Well, the package could be the doctor, or it could be information. I left it open on purpose, that’s the way I like it! :stuck_out_tongue:

Ensign Jonathan C. Kaval - Human. Recent Academy graduate, top 10 in his class. Newest addition to Victory Station’s security staff.

Victory Station - Alliance base, orbiting Dona Salo.

Dona Salo - lone remaning planet in the Dona system. Site of a major battle in the TALON uprising.

TALON - organization headed by rebellious miner Solomon Tali, former resident of Sigma Theta.

Leistra’K and Boabistil’Saulk (aka “Bob”) - security for the Quillar Embassy on Victory Station.

Gehenna (aka "Hemer 'roid) - one of the largest asteroids in the system. Home to Brigid O’Connell.

Brigid O’Connell - Human; aka “Frigid Brigid” due to her chilly disposition. Alliance accountant with a spinal injury who prefers low gravity envorinments.

Horiaxav - Brigid’s Xavvian colleague. Found dead, presumably murdered, after Brigid went home.

Sana Gien (“Old Stone” in Common) - city on Dona Salo. Has a crime problem.

Bowamune - villiage on Dona Salo, known for its Renallian population.

Minas Sulat (aka sKova’sla, aka Rose) - Daestral. Local agent for LAXON, the Teachers’ Union intelligence gathering unit. Had been working deep undercover, keeping tabs on TALON stragglers.

Dr. Eleazar Fujisawa - Human; one of Brigid’s few friends. Informant to Minas Sulat. Investigated Hriaxav’s death and also (supposedly) pronounced the real sKova’sla dead by suicide. Recently had a go with a Love Bunny and is currently invisible.

Capt. Steven “Sturdy” Sturdivant - Human with a bad leg. Head of security on Victory Station.

Mike Loomis - presumably Human, friend of Ensign Kaval on Victory Station. Works in Engineering.

Lt. Danski - female humanoid, presumably not Human. Loomis’s superior.

Marna Thonal - species unknown, presumably Human. Apparently an Alliance engineer on Hemer.

Panils - “eyeless wonders” in a territory dispute with Marche.

Marche - humanoid species that resemble Terran rabbits.

Col. Egon Stang - presumably Human. Local head of security who is unwittingly working for TALON.

Capt. Lucas Connor - Human. Captain of the ANS Halsey, a Kingston-class cruiser.

Dr. Frankel “Frankie” Sverba - four-armed humanoid. Head of research at the academy on Sigma Theta.

Shirley - Love Bunny (Marche). Helped Dr. Fujisawa escape from the Panil.

Harvey - Marche bouncer.

Harry - Harvey’s brother. Also helped Dr. Fujisawa escape from the Panil.

Asteroid Delta (aka D’Roid) - smallish asteroid in the system, not big enough to have a proper name. Site of an automated mining operation run by a TALON front.

Shades of Davros! I hope this gets others interested.

Great summary. I hope to have a post in the story by tomorrow evening. I like what you did with Solomon Tali, and have an idea about the “what’s left of him” part, if someone doesn’t beat me to it.

Go ahead. I decided to give Frankie a bit of trouble, that TALON-friendly ship from earlier has been hanging around the route to Dona.

There’s some “Firefly”-inspired privateers as well.

I thought it sounded like that kind of crew!

Messed up the name of The Program’s host and didn’t notice in time to edit. It should have been Jimmy Hostetler.

I see Baker is travelling. Any chance of the other regular contributers coming back for the final entries?

Got back last night, I’ll be in later this evening with a post!

'Bout time you showed up. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m so lost with all these people and events that I’m never gonna be able to catch-up! :frowning:

Oops, I’d forgotten that I had already given the chief engineer a name. Let’s just ingore the previous one.

Crap. I used IMDb color codes instead of vB codes!

He was trying to annoy Sol like a little brother would do with an older sibling’s friends. They were never really that close; Eleazar is at least 10 years younger than Sol.
