Time for the "Middle of 2015" Postcard Exhange!

I’m up for a second round but not right away – I’m still in the process of mailing out “backup” cards to people from the second list that jayrey sent out.

I’d love another round! (I think I’ll do the Anaglyph-thing this time too!)

I’m also willing to jump into another round immediately. I suggest you start another thread, if so, jayrey.

Hey, jayrey!

I just got a rilly cool postcard from you / of an old horse-drawn postal wagon “Rural Delivery Route No. 1, Salem, OR” ! But I live just off Route 1, in MAINE! Go figure.

I do like the postcard exchange, but here is another idea … I have no idea how to organize or run these exchanges, and this “might” be pricey for some, but

How About “The Great Local T-Shirt Exchange”?

We could all wear t-shirts from where we’ve never been

I got a replacement postcard/pity postcard today from blondebear, of the 1928 steam locomotive of the Skagit River Railway. Thanks for stepping in, blondebear!

Got an unexpected but welcome bonus card from jayrey on Saturday. Thanks!

Thanks BeeGee for the postcard of the Texas Revolution “come and take it” flag! Really cool!
Thanks also to blondebear for the postcard for the Monterey Peninsula Art Museum exhibit “Robots”! I love it! I’m going to put it with my small but growing display of retro-futuristic items: a 1950s picture book called “All About the Atom”, postcards from the 1939 World’s Fair, an “ultra modern” clock/AM radio from the mid-60s, salt and pepper shakers that look suspiciously like A-bombs, and a couple other things. I have no idea how you chose something so perfect for a newbie like me!

I in for the 2nd round also.

I’m in for a second round also.

Just got a cool Blackhawk Automotive Museum postcard from blondebear, showing three very futuristic Alfa Romeo sportscars that wouldn’t be out of place on Star Trek. Thanks!

I’ve been busy in my real life, but some more cards are on the way to those who were lacking! You’re benefitting from my road trips to Salt Lake City!

I got a bonus card from blondebear – reminds me of cards I’ve seen in Alaska and Maine (I’ve lived both places). This one has a cutout bear paw on it, though … new to me.

Thanks for the surprise!

I’d like to be included in ROUND TWO … do I need to re-send my info?

I received a bonus postcard from Ulf the Unwashed! It’s of “the longest pedestrian walkway in the world” - NY’s newest state park: an 1880’s railroad bridge turned into a fantastic walkway. Very cool! It brightened up an otherwise depressing day!

I’m in for Round Two as well!

I sent out some postcards today, as I was given the addresses of some people who didn’t get their full complement originally. Some I sent to before, some not. So if you get some cards soon(one set is going to Switzerland) don’t be surprised.

I got a bonus postcard or a pity postcard (don’t know which) from Cheez Whia today depicting Arches National Park, where I hope to go someday! Thanks, Cheez!

I got two more bonus/pity postcards today, both from Baker. One depicts the interior of a historic log cabin in the interior of the Kansas History Museum, and the other shows the stairway from the outside of the Kansas Capitol’s inner dome to the inside of the outer dome. Cool. Thanks Baker, and thanks for the invite!

I was out of town and came back to this card as well. Also, a cool card from blondebear with the Winchester House on it. A particular favorite of mine because the office I’ve been in for twenty plus years has been reconfigured or walls taken out/put up, doors moved, etc. no fewer than 15 times. I ask who’s afraid of dying around here, but no one gets it.

I also just got two bonus postcards from Baker, showing the gleaming cooper dome of the Kansas State Capitol and a Wichita tribe grass-house reconstruction from the Kansas Museum of History. Thanks, Baker! Two cards now on the way to you.

And two extra cards from Kansas, one showing an inside view of the dome of the Kansas State Capitol in Topeka, the other a painting entitled “The spirit of Kansas” made their way to Switzerland. Thank you, Baker!
