TIME Mag- Luther believed Jesus & Magdalene married?

1st Paragraph on that page (the entire article is worth reading tho it’s quite credulous on the Grail-Merovingian stuff)

Still, where the heck does that Martin Luther info come from?

This is the best I could find on Google, from what seems to be a rather biased site:

If the above anecdote is true (and I don’t know if it is) then maybe that’s what’s the Time article is referring to (although it would still be inaccurate). Maybe Luther said something similar on another occasion but if he did I can’t find it through Google.

I Googled yesterday & got that same thing! LOL!

I went to a historic Christian lit site which had Luther’s TABLE TALK & found nothing relevant, tho I did read the collected statements there he made about Jews… :-0

Well, Luther is an expert on “nailing”.

Luther’s Table Talk is on-line at http://www.ccel.org/l/luther/table_talk/table_talk.htm

He refers to Mary Magdalene in section CIV, saying

That is the only reference I could find to Mary Magdalene in Table-Talk, (German Tischreden).

(I get the impression that there are various version of Table Talk, compiled or edited at various times, so this version might miss some passages. However, I also know that the spurious biographies by Catholic authors Dinifle and O’Hare and the slightly less scurrilous, but still biased work by Grisar, included a lot of invented stories, that were little more than libelous attacks, so people “quoting” Luther may be using some of these long-discredited sources for their information.
(And the site linked by Diogenes is so clearly one of the reactionary Catholic sites that wants to preserve the pre-Vatican II Church (when we got to condemn all Protestants as damned heretics), that I would not be surprised to discover that one of those “biographies” (probably Dinifle’s or O’Hare’s) was the source of the statement.
