I am just a Newbie, but I couldn’t help posting here since I love birthdays. I am lucky enough to have mine on the most beautiful day of the year…Earth Day.
So for my birthday I ask that everyone plant a tree.
Since everyone’s celebrating anyway, I’ll just add myself to the festivities for April 5. I’ll be going to the women’s professional soccer season opener (Go CyberRays!), eating empanadas, and drinking beer. Promises to be a most delightful evening!
Oddly enough, my birthday is today! I am (counts quickly on fingers) 37 as of this morning… Happy April Fool’s day!!

My plans for the big day:
-in about 15 mins. I’m going to school (I’m taking a computer class), I will spend about 2 or 3 hours in the lab, then go get some lunch.
-after lunch, I will come back home and pretty myself up. I got a call yesterday from a publishing company up in Rancho Bernardo, and they want me to come up and take a proofreading test for them… if I should do well on that test, I will actually have a job interview! Woo hoo! Finally a chance to wear my new suit!
-after that, I’m going to come home again. Maybe make some dinner, drink a beer or two, surf por… err the Straight Dope for a bit, probably fool around with my guitar for a while, play EverQuest for an hour or so, then bed!
-sometime during the day, I hope to hear from Astrogirl… we’re still waiting for her visa to come through so she can join me here in the US.

Mine is also on the 23rd, along with William Shakespeare. Ergo, send me beer and plane tickets to Stratford-on-Avon so I can personally take a pint to the bard’s grave.
