I so want to be Mrs. Roper, I just need ideas, I am not creative whatsoever. Please give me ideas from hair down to her shoes.
Thanks

Groovy reddish short curly wig. Or curl your hair tightly (I use hot rollers for this) and use the red spray on hair dye.
Mumu (moo moo?) with billowy sleeves (thrift shop).
Costume jewelry – matching necklace and earrings.
A lot of makeup. Blush, blue eyeshadow, etc.
I would wear flat shoes.
Make references about Stanley’s sexual inadequacies all night.
Keep asking people where “The Kids” are.

Not at all how I pictured you Pygmy. (You’re much cuter IRL!) Love the costume.

I just remembered a “Ridiculous” themed party, where the goal was to go dressed as ridiculously as possible. Here’s me, on the right, about 1/2 way through getting ready. I think I wore earrings and a hat that said “Constant Supervision required”
Well I’m getting ready to go as a demon to Hellfire, so it’s supposed to be skantastic :). Black shorts, platform heels, not sure what shirt yet but it should be red or black, metre wide red demon wings with gold flames and glitter, a gorgeous sequinned devil mask and elbow length satin gloves. I’m also dying my hair dark red. Cost me like $70 for the wings, mask and gloves, all great quality off eBay.
Some one on these boards suggested my all time favorite years ago - wear just your pants to a party, and tell everyone you’re premature ejaculation.
“Hey - I just came in my pants”
As soon as I find all the bling, I’m whipping out the clippers and getting a Mr. T cut.
Yes, there will be pictures of my receiving first place awards at work.
I found a gray plaid shirt that I can use for my Kevin costume at Goodwill, and I have a black sweater, some jeans that would work, and some Chuck Taylors. I saw some cheap glasses at Wal Mart, so the only problem is the pattern on the sweater. The best solution I can think of is just to crudely stitch some white fabric into the zig zag pattern he has. I considered bleaching it in, but I don’t know if I could get it pure white from the original black, and I don’t know if it would be possible to get straight lines. If I get really lazy, I can just stick some white tape on it.

Ooooh, you just gave me the idea to be Miho from Sin City! That would be so awesome if I could find the right props…

Looks at the photo in post 25 Well, if you need a theme appropriate escort for Halloween, just let me know.
Very kind of you!
Unfortunately I had to change costumes; the thing about Miho’s costume is that she has these awesome shuriken earrings that I was not, for the life of me, able to find anything even similar. And I refused to do the costume without those earrings.
I’ve already bought most of the stuff I’ll need for being The Corpse Bride. All I need is a white corset-type top, but that is proving to be a bitch to find as well.
Can’t wait to see the Halloween pics thread.

You’re gonna need a black, collapsible, spring loaded umbrella. Not golf style - one of the small ones that have hinges on the struts. Using scissors and tin snips, cut about 2/3 of the canopy off to leave spring loaded bat wings. Bend the remaining struts a bit so they look better. Duct tape the handle to the inside of the black sport coat and tie a string to the the little plastic piece that slides up and down the mast. Whalla!
What’s you’re left with is a well dressed prince of darkness with functional wings.

My son wants to be a bat and I’ve been puzzling over the wings. It never occurred to me to leave the handle on!

Okay, fine…Monday I’ll put up wedding pics (gotta get married first).
I’ve had a 'hawk before, and recently. So that part’s no problem, and they’ll just roll their eyes and smile at work, should I keep it.
I’ll be doing my usual Dorothy Parker/Anita Loos/Zelda Fitzgerald gear. Short, neurotic writer type.
