Been lurking and enjoying this board for months, so I thought I would practice post here before I make an attempt here before entering the deep end (aka where the extremely itelligent and scary people post)
After proofreading this 4 times I am still scared to hit submit…I gotta get a back bone!
And I still butchered it…Not ready for The BBQ Pit huh? Yikes!
Don’t worry about a few smelling pistakes, apart from myself most people make them.
Thank you Vetch.
I am not sure my IQ is high enough to even be here (no MENSA membership in my pocket) but I will try to keep the grammar correct and the thoughts as insightful as my mind will allow
Well somebody has to ASK the questions!
Oh,relax, you’re amoong friends. I’ve posted plenty of times with typos I noticed to late and nobody has “said” a word.
(I didn’t even correct “amoong” or put in a space after the first comma above. I guess I’m getting less perfectionistic.)
Having someone here with a wide-eyed “kitten” look can only help people like me look smaret.
…And some days I need all the help I can get…

Don’t worry, there are plenty of us on the short bus. Just look at this thread . You are not alone.
Don’t bump that thread, it’s old.
If it’s spelling you’re worried about, just get over to ieSpell for a freeware utility that provides one-click relief for all you spelling woes. Can’t recommend it enough.
:smack:
Spelling errors, but not grammatical errors!
It’s OK, don’t worry, when they’ve finished with you there’ll be hardly a blood stain left.
I joined just a couple of hours before you, so I, too, have felt the FEAR!
In other news; the best thing I have seen on these boards so far is “Gaudere’s Law”. Genius in it’s simplicity, and proven post after post.
Oh, and mind the goat.
Welcome, Mint, glad to have you with us, and don’t worry: timidity in defense of virtue is no something-or-other.
Gaudere’s Law is that anyone posting to correct someone else’s grammatical errors will, themselves, make a grammatical or spelling error in that nitpicking post. One of the things that most of us have learned from these boards is to see beyond spelling and grammar. My own grammar, alas, is dead, and so’s my grampar.
Well, congratulations for getting off the porch and running with the big dogs!
(I lurked for a couple of YEARS before registering!
)
Welcome a-board!
