Tiny, long-lost primate rediscovered in Indonesia

That’s the headline in Yahoo news.
the sub-head reads “They’re small but mean”

Here’s wjhat caught my eye:

I’ve seen this movie, and I know what happens next. Ultra-violet blodd-lusting zombies. I’d stay away from Indonesia until this quiets down.

It’s Mort, from Madagascar. The resemblance is uncanny.

He’s mostly harmless.

Small, but mean? That’s like saying “The bathroom was cramped, but smelly.” or “The thread was esoteric, but confusing.”.

Guys, I just read about this story yesterday on MSNBC. It had the title, “Real-life Furbys rediscovered.” Oh? Real-life Furbys? I was expecting to see some cute, furry animal that just begs me to squeeze its warm fuzzy coat. Not so. After I clicked on the link to read more, what was staring back at me was a small, rabid looking creature that seems to radiate pure evil. Heaven forbid a child would see this. They wouldn’t look at Furbys the same way ever again. MSNBC: Where childhood toys transform into living nightmare beasts.

So…sort of like a Furby?

I would bet they could find more “undiscovered” or “long-lost” species at the local food stalls than tramping through the jungle.

Didn’t somebody claim to have found a coelacanth a couple of years ago doing just that ?

Did it puke green-pea soup and speak in a raspy voice afterwards?

My God, you mean you’ve encountered these little demons too?

I think if you could have looked inside the cocoons when Gizmo’s clones were mutating into Gremlins, they would have looked like that at one point.

Yes, in 1997.

And a previously unknown species of rat in '05.

The thing in the OP is pretty hideous looking. Wonder how long it is before Paris Hilton decides she needs to have one as a pet?
