I have to be at work super early so I miss my favorite radio program on the way to work.
I was wondering if there was a service or product that would allow me to listen to that program later in the day, like on the commute back home in the afternoon.
Dunno about smaller stations but large broadcasters like the BBC have a ‘listen again’ feature where you can listen to a programme for up to a week after it airs. I find it very useful.
I have a RadioShark. Love it. It can tune AM or FM, and while you’re listening live to a station, you can pause it or rewind. You can also record shows on a schedule, and it’ll automatically store your recordings into iTunes, so you can listen from your PC or download to your iPod.
What I like most, though, is if I’m listening live to a station, and a great song comes on, I can rewind back to the beginning of the song and then hit record.
People record some shows and post them to newsgroups, like alt.binaries.sounds.radio.misc and alt.binaries.great. Some of the more popular shows have their own group. The biggest downside is you usually can’t get the show until the next day.
