So do you guys TiVo your favorites so you can watch when you want, or watch more than once?
Or do you TiVo because there are two programs you like that are on at the same time and you can’t watch both? That’s how I use it. I don’t have much to do in the evenings, so I sit down for my favorites and don’t TiVo them.
American Idol
House
Close To Home
Criminal Minds
L&O: SVU
L&O: CI
CSI
CSI: NY
Without A Trace
The Office
Numb3rs
The Simpsons
Cold Case
Monk
AuntiePam – we DVR things so we can watch them at our leisure. With a two-month old in the house, there is no such thing as 60 uninturrupted minutes to watch TV, so we just tape everything we like and watch it whenever.
I don’t remember exactly what we have on ours, but I know it’s more than 20 shows!
Survivor
West Wing
Scrubs
CSI
CSI Miami
CSI NY
My Name is Earl
Good Eats (new only)
Mythbusters (new only)
Desperate Housewives
Oprah
A Baby Story
Curb Appeal
Designed to Sell
Fresh from the Garden
Declassified
Antiques Roadshow
Creature Comforts
and I don’t know what-all else.
We TiVo because we hate commercials and like to watch stuff at our own convenience.
un-necessary?
unnecessary!?
UN-NECESSARY!!!???
Look, here is the list: air, water, food, Tivo, shelter. How un-necessary does that make it? huh? huh?
Actually my season pass is a bit lacking at the moment:
24
Daily Show
Cowboy Bebop
Project Runway (for my girlfriend, honest!)
EPL Review Show
Amazing Race
The Office
I had to return my TiVo, but I’m getting a new one tomorrow (hopefully, it’s scheduled to be delivered then). My season pass will probably be:
Xena (reruns, on two different channels)
Harvey Birdman
Boondocks
Family Guy
American Dad
House
Susan
Lost
Battlestar Galactica
SG1
SG Atlantis
Las Vegas
House
Miami Ink
Samurai champloo
Ghost in the Shell
Teen Titans
Grey’s Anatomy
And this is for a house of 5 college guys.
Yes and yes.
Yes.
I like to “set it and forget it”. The only show that I absolutely make sure to watch live is “Lost”. If I’m home when the other shows are one, fine. If not, fine, too. I do save “Lost” because my group likes to re-watch the previous week’s episode right before watching the latest one.
Medium

I TiVo everything I watch so I can have my own personal TV network. I’d be lost without it – once, I had to wait two weeks for my new one to ship after my old one broke and I thought I was surely going to die.
Hustle! I knew I forgot something and I’m ashamed to say I did! Oh how I love this show. It’s a BBC show brought over by AMC after they invested in the third season so that they could have production rights here in the states. Hustle is an amazing Oceans 11 / The Sting sort of show. You’ve got to check it out if you haven’t. But be forewarned Tivoers, the show runs 75 minutes (BBC shows have no commercials, so it natively runs for 60, AMC chucks in 15 minutes of commercials).
Oh god I am so ashamed to have forgotten my beloved Hustle.
Between Season Passes and Wishlists (some of which are just Season Passes that I set up before a show existed in the Tivo’s memory):
