June has said that she has spent very little of the money she has earned for the series and has banked most of it. For the sake of the girls, I really hope she’s telling the truth about that.

If it is confirmed that June is dating that guy, she will probably be taken out of the house.
Well, TLC could keep filming Honey Boo Boo after CPS places her, but in Georgia the state only pays for the child’s basic needs, and the rest is up to the foster family. Since most of us would never do anything that selfless, how are we supposed to feel superior?

Why wouldn’t CPS throw the sex offender back in prison? Isn’t restricting access to children typically a part of the sex offender program? I’ve seen news articles that stated they couldn’t live within a certain distance of a school. You’d think sleeping in the same house with a kid the same age as his last victim would be worse.
I imagine the hardcore fans will be lighting up the phones at the Sheriff’s office and CPS. They’ve watched this kid grow up from age 4 (Toddlers & Tiaras) to almost 9. The fans of the show must identify pretty strongly with her. Almost like a member of their family. It’s not a good idea getting that attached to a Reality TV family but I can easily see it happening.
TMZ has found a photo with June,Alana, and the registered sex offender together. I hope she hasn’t been left alone with him yet.

Alana seems an out of control brat on talk shows. Hardly surprising for a suddenly super famous little girl, but it will nevertheless probably make CPS or other removal from June’s custody all the worse.
I’ve never seen Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, but everything I’ve heard about her makes me think about the quasi-“Shirley Temple” character from the movie Cats Don’t Dance. Fair? Unfair?
Alana loves performing and the camera. She seems to thrive on attention. Abruptly ending filming is going to be quite an adjustment for her. She’s been on camera since she was 5 or 6? I can guess life without the cameras will be quite alien to her.
It’s scary to think what the teenage years will be like for Alana and those Gosselin kids. Growing up in a Reality Show is not ideal for a little kid. The Gosselin kids had it worse. Their potty training was on camera. That’s got to leave a scar in their psyche.
It’s not crap like HCHBB that drives my disdain, it’s crap like the Kardashians and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The Apprentice - IOW, it’s not your lower classes that cause me to go “Oh, god, fuck, no”, it’s your rich. The HCHBB family could be a poor white family in South Africa, but it takes America to make a Donald Trump (not that we don’t have our wannabes here)
She has family who could take custody of her, from what I gather from reading the thread. There’s a sister who is of age, and apparently a father somewhere. And unlike a foster family, actual family could be given access to some of the money from the show if the mother really banked it.
CAVEAT: I’ve never seen the show, and most of what I know comes from this thread and the linked articles. And that South Park episode. I do know that foster care is a last resort, and if a family member is available, the child is placed there first.
I truly cannot believe that there were 4 different men out there who voluntarily had sex with June. She is, without question the most unattractive woman I have EVER seen on television. It’s not just her weight either, it’s her faceneck. Hideous.
Women like her are the reason that men believe any woman could have sex any time she wanted regardless of her looks. It’s absolutely true.
My favorite description of her is “She looks like a thumb”.
