To scarf or to savour?

Chocolate Mousse must be eaten with a tiny spoon and lingered over, while hot sausage rolls must be snaffled and scarfed as soon as they come out of the oven. So what other foods must be eaten either very quickly or very slowly?

Pronto scoffing is required for Mr Kipling’s Cherry Bakewells and Jelly Babies- well, it is if I’m around because if you don’t, you wont get any.

I savour good cheese and olives. And it takes me hours to eat a pomegranate, but I love them, so I enjoy ferreting out all the little ruby seeds with a pin.

Savor: shellfish and fresh raspberries (not together, I hope!)

Scarf: most pasta, unless it has shellfish in it. Pizza. Watermelon, preferably with juice running down the chin (and spitting the seeds out afterward).

Anything chocolare-based should be savored.

I’m sure there’s more, but I’m hungry already…

Those Reese’s Miniature Peanut Butter Cups must be scarfed by me at all costs : )

Anything else I like to savour…

(Welcome to the Boards, tigereye001!)

Scarf: McDonald’s fries.

Savor: My sister’s coconut cake.

Bud Light = Chug

Black and Tan = Savor

Scarf: In n Out DoubleDouble with extra onions

Savor: Isabella’s Chicken Marsala

Quaff: Gallo Hearty Burgundy

Sip: McCallan’s Cask-Strength Single Malt Scotch

Scarf: anything edible

All time scarf: Krispy Kremes. 5 people and myself once ate two dozen in 20 minutes.

Savor: A cup of good coffee.

Popcorn must be scarfed. Huge handfuls must be stuffed into the mouth, or each indiviual kernal must be eaten as quickly as possible.

Another scarfer checking in. Helped a lot eating in basic: The last two sitting at the table (four to a table) had to bus it. Not to mention the fact that the quicker you ate, the less likely you’d get chewed up by one of those friendly folks with the Smokey the Bear hats.

If I am going to savor something, I have a habit of smelling it first. And I mean every bite of it, to help refresh the flavor sensation.
