My stomach turned listening to the jersey-clad, star-struck idiots gathered around the courthouse, ready to blither to any media type that would give them their 15 minutes.
“I know what happened here was bad and all but hey, it’s Kobe.”

I don’t understand what type of vacuous life these people must lead to travel hundreds of miles to get a fucking autograph :smack: from a guy headed inside for a criminal trial.
These people can be not healthy for our society.
You didn’t disagree; you simply made the stupid comment that the OP shouldn’t have posted his opinion. I find it deliciously ironic that you are now whining about being allowed to post your opinion after you just flamed someone else for doing the same.
And he isn’t. Unless these people are blocking traffic along a route he takes, or camping out on his fromt lawn or something, he’s not personally affected. And since he mentioned no such effect on his personal life, I assume there was none. I stand by my “What’s it to you?”
Uh no. I didn’t say he shouldn’t have posted his opinion. I literally asked a question to which an answer was expected. And my dismissal of his OP constitutes disagreement with it.
And I stand by my “Your post was completely useless.” Why don’t you try directing your comment back at yourself. What’s it to YOU if the OP wants to rant about stupid people?
Utter bullshit…
Your opinion. Whatever, I stated my opinion. I’m done here.
It’s All Kobe, All The Time !!!
No one is allowed to talk to me unless they abide by this rule.
Thank you.

Note: my officemate and I have a 1 minute a day time for Kobe talk, no more, no less. Some of you are taking this a little too serious, yes I am looking a couple of people in this thread. Let the justice system do it’s job.
Taking what serious?
Reminds me of the turn-out for Mike Tyson’s assault trial in Maryland a couple of years ago.
Bunch of dim-witted fuckheads who showed up outside the courthouse to show support for “the Champ”.
Eh? I know general intelligence is on the decline, but weren’t these people aware that Tyson hasn’t been “Champ” in quite a long time?
Also, what kind of situational ethics or relative morality do you you practice when you feel the need to leave your house to cheer on a man who was being charged with beating two older men senseless because of a fender-bender?
That’s funny, that’s exactly how people would have described Kobe a few short weeks ago.
World Eater this is a warning, you NEED to only talk to me about Kobe–All Kobe, All the Time. Next time I will have to give you a raspberry and a stern typing to cause it is All Kobe, All the Time
This thread is not about the actual trial, but about the circus surround the trial (or at least that is how I read it). The circus is funny, although the clowns are scary.
The trial itself is serious, but since the odds of any of us serving on the jury is slim to nil, we have no say in the outcome. I personally would like to skip to the end of the trial and not be subjected to All Kobe, All the Time on the radio and TV. It is especially worse since I am in L.A. county.
But the circus is funny. Did you see the pics of the media area around the courthouse? It looked like Disneyland parade with Mickey Mouse ears sticking up all over.

I’m sorry.
I grew up in Cross Anchor right off of Highway 56, just a jump and a holler from Union. Small world and it just keeps getting smaller, huh?
This is starting to scare me. I bet we even know a few of the same people because in Union everybody knows/is related to everybody else.

Now that that’s out of the way…I think the media is just jumping on the Kobe thing because there is absolutely nothing else newsworthy to talk about. Besides, what else are they gonna break out their “Special Alert” graphics for? Fox was so hard up for news a few days ago, that they reported on yachts on fire in Seattle, I think, and their frequent updates amounted to nothing more than “Yep, they are still on fire.” It reminded me of “Buckwheat is STILL dead” from SNL.
Oh, so you’re the one!

Sorry to barge in, but wasn’t that *Generalissimo Francisco Franco * who was still valiantly holding on in his fight to remain dead?
Sorry about that, but it’s better than Cross Keys.
what, was he found guilty already?
What the hell does that have to do with anything.
