Yeah, they’re a bunch of mental midgets. Even though the law says that the accused has a presumption of innocence unless proven guilty, I still must confess that I was not surprised to hear of Jackson’s recent arrest. Just severely disappointed in the parents that would trust their child to someone with the kind of history this guy has.
As for the political portion of the OP, I think there is some similarity here. That was one of the reasons why I stopped listening to Rush Limbaugh on a regular basis a long time ago, for it seemed in his world there was no such thing as a bad Republican or a good Democrat, and the American political landscape just isn’t that simple.
Revtim: I think it’s merely another manifestation of the “O. J. Syndrome.” That’s the syndrome that strikes the jury when they know damn well he did the crime charged; however, they refuse to acknowledge it because of something completely unrelated to the issue.
They all turned up to supprt him in various spots throughout the world. In an amazing show of support, the voices of 30 fans in New York were overwhelmed by the 60 who showed up in Paris, but beat out the mass turn out of 25 in Los Angeles.
Maybe it’s because I’m not a fanatic about any particular artist, but I cannot think of a single one that if accused of a crime, I would think “That cannot be true!” Of course it might be true, I don’t know these people.
This article displays what I had hoped would not come to fruition, but has, sadly enough.
OK, Jermaine. How is this a racist charge? If a female has a gender change operation to become a male and lives as a male, can she charge discrimination as a female? Your former brother is now a white female, and as such loses all claim to black male defenses. Beyond that, she is wealthy, so no claims of having been held down will pass muster.
The out of court settlements were red herrings, also, I suppose?
Really, Jermaine-I understand that Michael is your brother from a biological standpoint. Do you really think that this is a wide ranging conspiracy to besmirch and sully his reputation?
Guess we think differently-if I believed my brother was doing things to trusting little kids, the police and the courts would be the least of his worries. YMMV
I love how the family is so sure he’s innocent; like if he was molesting kids, he’d tell them. “Hey Jermaine, guess what I did last night! McCauley Caulkin! Yeah, call up Liz Tayler, let her know too!”
Oh, but see, his new ALBUM came out! And that’s why they did this!
Dude, I so do not get this fucking argument. What does his album have to do with anything? Do they really think the justice department gives two shits about his new record?
Wasn’t the child who was allegedly**cough abused a sick Latino boy from a poor family? If Jacko singles out poor minority kids to lavish his ‘affections’ on, who is the racist there?
Michael Jacksons work with Quincy Jones still stands as some of the best pop music ever recorded. If Michael Jackson decaptated a family of campers in Yellowstone, that wouldn’t change. But most of Michael Jackson’s remaining devotees seem to be very emotionally needy people. They aren’t just fans, they are people who really believe a part of them will be lost forever if Michael Jackson’s career ended. His celibrity friends are worse, all of them seem to be either delusional or manipulative. And his family is now in the dictionary illustration accompanying “dysfunctional”
Oh yeah. Did you see on the Bashir special, when that one girl got to meet him? Afterwards, she was sobbing into her friend’s arms, like someone had just fucking DIED. They were just bawling all over one another.
All Jacko needs to do is have Johnny Cochran & Co. show up at the courthouse to do one of his circus performances. I certainly hope Johnny doesn’t use the “If it don’t fit, you must acquit” statement though.
