However, hatred of the actual terrorists, and the Leaders who encourage them, should be perfectly acceptable. In my mind, Arafat started out as a terrorist, and still remains one at heart. Once someone starts with terrorism, it never ends, they never stop. Arafat should be arrested & executed like the war criminal he is, along with Saddam & Kaddafi. He has never intended peace, and he has never worked for peace. He has tried to get as much concessions out of Isreal, without giving up anything himself. The very children are raised to hate. Isreal has hardly been a poster-child for Peace, either-true. But nothing they do, short of giving up EVERYTHING, including all nationhood & land, will satisfy Arafat & his sub-human crew of hate-mongering terrorists.

One’s man terrorist is another’s freedom fighter. The Sandanistas started out as “terrorists”, so did Ho Chi Minh, Mao, whasisname from Venezuela could probably be characterized as a terrorist. The South African anti-apartheid movement was characterized as terrorist. Does that mean we should go back and hang em all? The IRA’s doing a pretty good job of moving beyond terrorism.

Of course it all comes down to your definition of terrorist. Just pointing out the flaws in your idea that once someone starts, it never stops.

Damn, this is sad. There are defenses against cowardly acts, but the thing is that the ones who did this were no cowards. They were willing to end their lives for some cause, whatever it is. There is virtually no defense, none, against someone totally willing and committed to kill self and takes others doing it for a cause.

Damn. I don’t know what to say about it. It just sucks all around. Only about 76 days 12 hours and 48 minutes until I’m in the Navy myself, so this hits pretty close to home. There’s just nothing you can do about this sort of thing, as far as I know. Just try to not live in fear, I guess, because that’s their goal.

Lots of interesting post so far, but how many are over here (Riyadh KSA) right now? How many people have meet an Arab. Not all are mindless tools who go around blowing things up for fun and prophit (LOL). Most are decent, well meaning individuals, but to get respect you have to show respect. Now it would be nice if everyone just got along over here, but that won’t happen untill ET arrives with his friends, LOL. And as far as pulling the troops out of here anytime soon, well as long as Bush and Bush lite have wells and Americans continue it love affare with the auto and we need the oil, guys like me will be over here.
