to the fucktards that I call employers

when you ask for input from your employees to help the company out you are behaving like a nice employer,
when you shut down every single one of those ideas day after day time after time year after fucking year you are acting like a douche-nozzle.
saying the words “there is room in our curriculum for teachers to make it there own” doesnt make it true, and when you in the same sentence compare it to another company who also doesnt allow for teachers to vary things at all you look like a dick as well as a douche-nozzle.

but telling me I need to stop teaching what I am and start using your curriculum I really really want to punch you in the throat, hard.

you have hard data showing that your curriculum blows ass, you are one of the least successful schools in the area with a blistering 84% success rate.

but you still want me to switch to your curriculum, even though the one I am teaching has a 97% success rate. even though mine is the most successful one in the entire state, and I am the last person in the entire state teaching it.

your school is failing and you want help from your people but you ignore them
your family business is slowly going under and you honestly think that experience has somehow taught you all there is to know about business, leadership, education, and continual improvement.
you are about to be looking for work and want your kids to go to collage but you keep doing the same shit that hasnt worked for the last 13 years.
in short
fuck off.

I don’t think this is going to go well…

Pats Crit1 on back

As someone who would like to occasionally bludgeon my chain of command, I do feel you…

But if your frustration level’s this high, and their hypocrisy level’s this bad…maybe time to look for another private school? There’s a lot of them. Or (hehe:p) start your own, with the rocking curriculum that jolly well works…

I imagine you’ve got to sweat this year out with the bozos, though.

… nor does it make it grammatically correct

But yeah, I know where you’re coming from… family-run firms can be especially hard to change (“worked for my grandpappy, so ain’t now way we’re changing now”)

Collage isn’t there own, it’s yourn.

I’m afraid to ask, but I will anyway. What subject do you teach, and what language are you teaching it in?

Is it a junior “collage”?

Clown college, possibly.

I’m having a hard time seeing you as a successful teacher, Critical1, since your OP was so poorly written.

Just a warning: anytime a company says they value X it means the opposite. Value family? That means they have been causing so many divorces with their schedules they created a committee to look into it. I once had a colleague who believed the boss really did have an “open door”. He went down to the bosses office one day to have a chat. Did not go well.

Driving school per this thread how would you handle this Boss/situation? (long) - In My Humble Opinion - Straight Dope Message Board

Well remembered. That’s a load off my mind.

So, basically: the really important shit.

Well, kinda. It’s more important to my survival that someone can drive than that they can read.

Apparently he now teaches at a driving collage, thankewveddymuch.

Ooooh, la dee da.

Do we want them to succeed?

Don’t you have any idea how hard it is to drive a tiny car with thirteen people in it?

Gaudere is halving a feild day with this thred.

How does one make that curriculum more their own? More jumps and car chases?

“Okay, now we’re going to simulate that you’re driving the Mexican ambassador. He’s traveling under cover, which is why he’s in a 1997 Ford Escort. Then, suddenly, a bunch of drug gangsters try to kill him, WHAT DO YOU DO?”

That’s the point where the kids from the advanced driver’s ed class comes barreling up, spraying wildly with paintball guns.
