Either way, he was going to the flipping movies! If he received that kind of comment at the doctor/lawyer/dentist/therapist clinic, then he may have a point.
He was at the movies. If he can’t take a throw away comment from some girl selling him a movie ticket without contemplating violence then he is the one with problems.

When speaking with somebody you don’t know at all, you should always be polite.

A few days ago, when it was swelteringly hot out, I got home from my morning class and took the dog out. Where we take him to do his business is a small “park” about two blocks away, so on the way back he was panting pretty good from the heat.
A gent walking the other direction in the alley looked at us and said, “You should get that dog into the air conditioning.”
Whale what he said was harmless common sense, he had an accusing tone that made it seem I was a terrible pet owner for having my dog out in that weather.
Damn that pissed me off and if I hadn’t been in a hurry to do just what he said, I would have stopped and asked him if he was accusing me of something.
I am starting to suspect that some hostility here is being spewed by angry young teens in serive jobs. The cunt in question should have been fired, and even when I was an angry nonsensical young teen, I’d be the first to tell my boss to fire the bitch.

It’s not a big deal, if it pisses you off that badly then I feel there’s something wrong with you. The “cunt” assaulted no one, she, I would agree, is not the sharpest tack in the box but she attacked no one and feeling pissed off enough about it to ruin the movie for you is going overboard.
As for me, I haven’t been a teenager for going on 30 years. So I am a middle aged guy, and I have seen some young women in the late teens and early 20’s that I wouldn’t turn down if they offered… but that’s besides the point…

If making a mildly “offensive” statement was enough to lose a job then nary a person would be employed.
In this situation we have an adult who is so upset by the comment of a teenager that he can’t enjoy a movie, so upset that he sits thinking violent thoughts. Hey call me mental but I would take a rude teenager over an adult who is that easily upset any day of the week.
While I think the OP has every right to be angry, he does need to calm down. The fact that he let it ruin his evening suggests that perhaps he’s a wound just a little TOO tight.
Personally, I think in this situation, a patronizing smile, followed by “Well bless your heart! I thought your attitude went out with the 1950s!” Then a request for a manager. Not necessarily to get her fired-but to let said manager know what’s going on. I’d bet that this wasn’t the first time she’d made a snotty comment to a customer.
And before anyone accuses me of abusing service workers, I worked retail for seven years, and I never once would have said such a thing! And had one of my coworkers done so, I would have been pissed off.
