First of all, to a couple of (I think) new-ish mods here, PuzzleGal (ha! I finally got your name right!) and What_Exit, I think you’re doing a great job. Yes, even when I disagree with you. I believe that you’re trying to do what’s right, what’s good. And to engineer_comp_geek, I see what you’re doing, largely behind the scenes, and I appreciate the hard work and the tough decisions.

To David Lynch. You have totally fucking lost it, bro. I appreciate that in a fellow. (I watched Eraserhead with my girlfriend a few years ago, but she has evidently deleted the experience from her mind, so we have a date to watch it again soon.)

To Steven Pinker: thanks, man. I don’t necessarily agree with you on everything, but you have made me think about my thinking more.

As far as this board goes, to Riemann, thorny_locust, and k9bfriender, I appreciate you. I know that some of us may have had a tussle or two, but I’ll always respect intelligence and good intentions, regardless of anything else.

To the unnamed mod on another message board: Yes, I will fire your ass as soon as I take over your little fiefdom. But you helped the helpless when nobody else could. As much as we loathe each other, I do appreciate that about you.
