Today is my 2-year wedding anniversary with my loving hubby.
It’s been a struggle but I’m more in love with him now than ever! 
Our Story:
We met while working at Books-A-Million five and a half years ago. We were friend for a few months before I quit and went to work for my current employer. After I got my new job, I’d go back to BAM and visit some people I had become friends with while on the job. My lover took me out for a few lunches and then we lost touch when he got a new job fixing computer equipment for the state.
One day I was headed on my way out of town to go to my sisters wedding and I stopped to get gas when hubby and his dad came pulling up to say hi. We exchanged numbers and I called him soon after I returned home.
We set up a date to go play pool the following Monday.
I had forgotten that Monday was the Gator-‘Nole game. :smack:
So Monday comes and I’m getting all dolled up when I saw the game on and began plotting my excuse to post-pone the date.
Don’t get me wrong, I did like him and wanted to go out, but this was the Seminole-Gator playoff, for the sake of Pete! :eek:
When I figured a good enough excuse, I phoned him.
Me: “Hey, about our date tonight….”
Him: “That was tonight? I’m sooo sorry! The game is on and I forgot! I’ll get dressed!”

Well, I forgave him ( 
) and we set up another date for Thursday and have been together ever since.
When he went to propose he had a case of nerves, I guess, and it went something like this: “harmless?”
Me: “what?”
Him: “Chicken butt! I mean, will you marry me?”
I love that man! Nobody can make me smile like he can! 
I was tearing up during our wedding as I said, “I do.”
So in about half an hour I get off work and we’re going to dinner and a movie and to do some celebrating!

Congratulations! We live in the same place, and my wife and I just had our 6th anniversary back on the 9th. I was just writing in to suggest, if you haven’t decided on where to go for dinner, either of these two: Mom and Dad’s, out on Apalachee past Wal-Mart, or Little Italy, in the Winn-Dixie plaza on Magnolia. Excellent restaurants for special occasions. Again, best wishes!

I wish you’d been here last night, oh boy!
We went to The Red Lobster and it was ok. They over cooked the crab, so it was very messy. I just really wanted crab and couldn’t think of any other seafood places that wouldn’t put us in the poor house.
My birthday is this weekend, so I think we might try Mom and Dad’s unless I need to take out a loan to eat there.
How are they on price?

Mom and Dad’s is pretty expensive, but entirely worth it. Little Italy is extremely reasonably priced. Even their really good stuff is $15 or less, and it is very, very good. You’ll be happy with either one, I guess it depends on whether it was recently payday!
