Today was Tuesday, not Monday right?

I had one of those lousy should have been Monday days today.

Today was the first day of classes at the school I work at and since this is a new school for me, I’ve been very excited about today and meeting all the new kiddliwinks. I’ve been at a junior high for four years and the thought of being back in an elementary has been very appealing.

Last night we packed el boyo’s bag for today, laid out our clothes and were ready to fly this morning. The best laid plans.

I get up, shower, get myself ready, so far so good. Get boyo up, washed (he eats breaky at the sitters) and dressed. After putting on the one shoe that is in his bedroom I head out to the living room to get his other shoe and immediately hear a crash and a blood curdling scream.

Boyo lost his balance and went head first into his wooden toybox. The result, a HUGE bruise and egg on his forehead above his left eye. Its an ugly one. They I see blood and realize he has cut the top of his head. After 20 minutes I get him calmed down and have ice on his face.

I paniced all day about it and thank god one of my best friends is the Vice Principal at his school. She kept me informed via email that he was alright and at one point took a digital pic of him and emailed it to me. The bruise is big and ugly but he is okay.

After work, boyo, my friend the VP, and my brother head out to have dinner together. On the way home, my brother is driving beside us and we are waving to him until he passes us. A few minutes later we hear a screech and a loud crash up ahead. I had to change lanes to avoid traffic and see two vehicles that have hit each other on my left and think poor them.

Half hour later, baby brother shows up, his car is totalled and he can barely move. He was the other vehicle involved in the crash (his vehicle was on the right and I only looked to the left).

I just got home from spending the last five hours at Emergency with him. He’s bruised and very very sore, but thankfully nothing is broken.

Today was Tuesday, not Monday right?

sorry for the long rant… its been a bloody long day and I’m wide awake and can’t sleep.

Sue, you poor dear! How are the men doing today?

Hope today is a much better day for you.

Wow. I’m glad your brother is OK, sounds like a serious crash!

Is the boy doing better today? Kids can take huge hits and recover nicely, ya know. I know, I was a kid a long time ago

Hopefully you’ll soon be on one of the peaks in life since you’ve just transited one of the valleys.

Thanks guys! Boyo number one is a pretty shade of purple/blue this morning and proud of his wound that he keeps checking out in the mirror and he’s back to his feisty self and raring to go. I’m going to stop and check out little bro on my way to work to make sure he is okay.

Today I’m just going to enjoy the little duffers at school and have fun with it! I think I’m peaking again already

You have to be careful…Monday’s are sneaky, often disguised as other days of the week.
Hope everyone is fine.

Actually Sue, when you posted that it was Wednesday, but I’m not one to pick nits

Oh, poor you and all involved, Sue!!!

Hope everyone is feeling better.

Mondays suck, no matter which day of the week they happen to fall on.

Poor Sue, what a horrible, horrible horrible day. It puts my petty problems into perspective. I’m glad that everybody’s O.K.

Sue, kids heal 9as we both know) and cars can be replaced.

You should probably just lock those boys up for a few days so they stay safe…

{{{{{{{{{Sue}}}}}}} You poor thing, what a horrible day ! I am so sorry. But now the boy has a nice bruise he can show off for days. I hope your brother is feeling better, and I hope the other guy had insurance !! I agree with Feynn on keeping them locked in, oh if only we could.

I had a great day yesterday!! My son is doing great and like all little ones loving the attention to his boo boo. The boo boo itself is colourful but will heal nicely.

Baby brother is also doing fine. I spent some time with him last nite while he tried to convince me to stay for supper and eat ahem… some kind of a concoction he was cooking up for he and his buds. My new boss had invited me over for supper with her family so I made a quick getaway. He is not moving very fast but thats okay, he’s alive which is the most important part of it all.

We have a line on a new vehicle for him which we are going to go and pick up this weekend wooooooohoooooooooo!!

And… school was awesome yesterday, had a new little one register for kindergarten who said to me “take me to school lady”, damn those kids are sweet!

I like your idea of locking them up for a while Feynn. My heart sure was jumping beats the other nite.

Thanks so much for the support!!

Glad to hear things are looking up, Suzie Q!

Oh, and Sue? Get me a beer, lady :stuck_out_tongue:

For you, anything m’dear… shall I don the French Maid’s outfit yet again  ::frisbees a Canadian to ya::

Sue, First tell the cops you saw it all!!! Hope the guys are better now. You do stay busy up there, don’t you? Take care of everyone and remember, Monday’s only come once a week… Thank God it wasn’t friday night, huh!!!
