On November 1, I challenged Abisafyan with plagarism by asking if he was Aftab Alam Advocate (High Court) in Swat, Pakistan, in the “Al Masjid Al Aqsa” thread. Not only that, but I reported my suspicions to you.
** Abisafyan** confirmed that indeed he was Aftab later in the thread. Well, I heard nothing more from you or anyone else on the matter, so I assumed you were satisfied.
I see that Lantern developed the same suspicion in the “Is Bharat India” thread. Interestingly enough, the author suspected of being plagarized is the same person as I suspected.
To me, that simply adds credence to the fact that Abisafyan was not plagarizing, but using his own words.
How is it that within 1 hour of Lantern’s post you decided that **Abisafyan ** was plagarizing ? What evidence do you have for that claim?
Or, is it possible to plagarize one’s own work ?
Why did you ignore my suspicion (fully cited) yet jumped on Lantern’s?
The information that I had at the time of your report was less complete than I have since been able to determine regarding authorship in multiple posts.
It now appears that his claim for authorship of all his texts is less than fully grounded, (some of his screeds still appear to be “his”), so I have Warned him in that regard. I thank you for originally calling our attention to the situation.
I would like to point out two facts quite separate from plagiarism. A quick look on the Bar Council search engine (http://www.kpbarcouncil.com/srchresult.php) reveals only two Aftab Alams. Niether is registered to practice where Abisafyan claims Aftab Alam of practices (Swat District) and secondly one is non-practicing and the other is not an Advocate of the High Court.
If the above is true, than his claim of being an Advocate is false and THAT is a crime under Section 58 of the Legal Practitioner and Bar Council’s Act 1973 and (http://www.pbbarcouncil.com/downloads/barcouncil_act_amended_2005.pdf at pg47) and I personally am under a duty to report. So we verify this somehow?
