Re Instant potatoes

Rushgeekgirl says ingreedients are

“Dried potatoes and a ton of preservatives”

I’d ask if this is your experience or just what you believe? I eat instant mashed because I looked at a package one day and found it contained nothing but potatoes.

Take a look at the grocery store - there are at least two major brands that list one ingredient - potatoes.

I was in college in 1977. Each dorm got a certain amount of discrectionary money (about $1000) each year, which was usually used for parties. My dorm voted to use the money to buy a microwave oven for the kitchen and it was expensive…we used the full thousand and had to come up with another $200 or so.

I bought my microwave oven in 1986 and it still works great, I’ve never replaced it.

Omg, is it one of the dial ones? I remember my grandma having a dial one in the 80s. I can’t imagine still using a kitchen appliance from the 80s.

Aldi’s Priano brand eggplant parmesan is awesome. They only have it a couple times a year though. I’m a little embarrassed to admit that when I first tried it I went back and bought ten packages, all that my local store had left.

We don’t have Aldi’s here. I’ve heard good things about them.

I got my first microwave in 1988. It is not a dial one. I say “IS not” because I gave it to my friend over 10 years ago and she is still using it. And it works.
