Tony Robbins/Chet Holmes "free" offering: there's a catch, right?

On the local sports talk radio station, for a year now, almost every day, there has been a Tony Robbins radio commercial claiming that he has teamed with Chet Holmes,

. . . motivational speaker type, and claims they have developed a strategy for business people that is worth a lot of money, but they are giving it away FOR FREE!!! Thats right FREE!!!

All you have to do is call an 800 number and leave a voice mail with your email address, and they will send the “report”.

Sooooooo . . . . is it really that easy? Is it a scam to give your email address to other companies? Do they send you some survey you have to fill out with all your personal information before they send you these “reports”? Or do they simply send you some links or files that are an ad convincing you to spends thousands on their training?

The catch is that you become a ‘mark’ for future promotions, and what you buy will be LOADED with attempts to sell you more.

Once they reel folks in, they feel that they can convince enough folks at a decent enough rate to buy more, or the next series, etc.

That’s really all there is to it. If a small percentage of people buy more, they know they will make a profit. They have that part sorted out.

Basic marketing technique.
